Our Underwriters evaluate risks across admitted and non-admitted commercial multi-peril products and support programs in multiple U.S. states. With a continuously expanding product portfolio—including new initiatives with a greater focus on property underwriting—Rainbow offers ongoing opportunities to broaden expertise and deepen specialization across underwriting disciplines.
As an Underwriter at Rainbow, you play a key role in growing our small business insurance portfolio by executing and helping evolve our underwriting strategies. This role will have a strong emphasis on property underwriting, supporting both existing programs and the launch of new property-focused offerings.
You’ll contribute directly to the launch and expansion of new products, partnering cross-functionally to support early go-to-market efforts while leveraging tech-enabled workflows and creative uses of data to drive sound underwriting decisions.
This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential. You’ll work closely with our sales and service teams to deliver best-in-class service to agency partners while adhering to underwriting guidelines and service standards.
This role is remote, with occasional travel for company meetings and industry events. As a growing startup, we value an all-hands-on-deck mindset, and you’ll have opportunities to contribute beyond your core responsibilities as we continue to build and scale our offerings.
