Rainbow is looking for a
Revenue Operations Analyst

Remote friendly
About Rainbow
Rainbow is reimagining commercial insurance for a new generation of independent agents. As a tech-enabled specialty underwriter, we empower agents with smarter tools, dynamic underwriting, and industry-specific programs that make it easier to protect the businesses they serve.
The Role
We are hiring a Revenue Operations Analyst to be the technical backbone of our go-to-market motion. This person owns the data, the CRM, and the reporting infrastructure that our sales, marketing, and partnership teams run on every day. You will be the first person we turn to when we need to know what is happening in the business, and the person executive leadership relies on for trustworthy numbers.
This role exists because we are doubling down on operating with data. Our previous RevOps lead built a strong foundation across HubSpot, Hex, and our forecasting stack. Your job is to take what works, harden it, and push it forward technically — better models, cleaner data, faster answers, more automation.
What you will own
Hubspot administration & GMT systems
- Own admin access across Tremendous, Instantly, Zapier, and Formcrafts. Keep our system-of-record clean and auditable.
- Be the HubSpot power user. Workflows, custom properties, lifecycle stages, lead routing, Territory assignment logic, segmentation, account- and contact-level data hygiene.
- Run the integration stack. HubSpot ↔ Instantly for outbound, Zapier automations, Formcrafts intake forms, Tremendous for incentive payouts.
Reporting, dashboards & BI
- Build and maintain dashboards in Hex and HubSpot covering team activity, onboarding and appointment requests, weekly pipeline, partner production, and the metrics our leadership team uses daily.
- Set and maintain GTM targets alongside leadership — not just the dashboards that report on them.
- Be the production-data answer machine. When leadership asks 'how many submissions did Houston, TX have last week?' — you have the answer in minutes, not days.
- Support ad-hoc analytical workstreams — e.g., Top-20-agencies aggregator tracking, Florida agent prioritization, and real-time data for cross-functional projects.
Forecasting & financial modeling
- Maintain our state-level production forecast — admitted and non-admitted/E&S, premium adjustments, and growth-rate calibration.
- Run renewal and retention modeling using cohort premium data and our retention tracker.
- Partner with Leadership on forecast governance — flag rigidity in formulas, propose where to tighten or loosen assumptions, and translate model output into real world targets.
Lead operations
- Own lead import and distribution — including SOP execution, edge-case troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain Sales Team territory assignment logic and refine it as we add states, agents, and reps.
- Build audiences for outbound campaigns, in close partnership with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager.
Commissions & partner operations
- Run Sales team commission calculations and payouts each cycle, working from our SOP and payout file — including the variable comp 'Added component' for roles like inbox and marketing coordination.
- Maintain the Partnership Directory and partnership reporting dashboards in Hex (default and payable partners), including program-splice views.
What we are looking for
- 3-5 years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, or a closely related analytical role at a B2B or B2B2C company.
- Strong SQL and at least one modern BI tool. We use Hex; equivalent experience in Looker, Mode, Sigma, Tableau, or similar is fine.
- HubSpot power-user. You have built workflows, custom objects, complex reports, and integrations — not just used the UI.
- Comfortable building forecasting and financial models in Excel/Google Sheets, with an instinct for when to push logic into a database vs. a spreadsheet.
- High judgment about data quality. You catch your own mistakes before leadership does. You know the difference between a number that is technically correct and a number that is actually right.
- Fast and direct communicator. You can answer a leadership question in two sentences and a chart, not a 12-slide deck.
Bonus points
- You have helped an organization shift its ICP up-market and seen the operational implications first-hand.
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated, multi-state distribution business.
- Python or other scripting experience for automation; comfort with dbt or modern data stacks.
- You have used AI tooling (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to compress operational work.
Compensation & logistics
- Base salary: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience.
- Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision.
- Remote-friendly within the US.
